This morning I went to church together with Ling’s family. It has already been quite a long period since I went there last time mainly due to my language test preparation. During the Gospel Doctrine and Relief Society course, I have got opportunities to learn about how Jesus sacrificed his own life so as to save humankind from their sins and how to cope with negative emotions like anger, blazing and criticising when communicating with other people in daily lives. I am very thankful to both missionary sisters who accompanied and took care of me all the time because I am aware that love and caring should not be taken for granted even by family and friends. In the coming future, I am going to give efforts to learn Gospel and communicate with these nice missionaries.
At the same time, thanks a million for Ling and her family’s caring!
1. As Ling acts as an interpreter at a local middle school which has enrolled an overwhelming majority of Chinese students, she has to grasp a large amount of Chinese-English vocabulary related to various subjects. Through assisting her to prepare for geography class translation, I have also learnt a great many useful geographical words and I feel awesome being helpful to others.
2. Jenny is a guru in planting vegetables and owing to her hard work, we have got chances to eat much organic food. I like her simple and practical personality and will buy her a PM meter as a birthday present so that she can save some efforts in figuring out the PM value of the soil.
3. After supper, Gary distributed a DRUMSTICK brand ice cream to each of us and it turned out to be so yummy! I appreciate his mild, sincere and responsible personality so much!
