Sonnet 32: How do I forget you?

How do I let go of th’ethereal bird

to which I ne’er attached a silk thread first?

I have its spritely wings in deep woods blurred,

though barely saw it since I met it esrt.

In phantom cage no airy feather left.

Nor did I its enchanting songs record.

This avian spright yet haunts my sweven eft,

eludes my grasp, and plays my heartstring’s chord.

If I could seize its corporal form anew,

then all my nightly woes would dissipate.

In dreams once its sweet songs bid me adieu,

next to my ear anon will apparate.

Or else I wish I ne’er saw it at all,

so I won’t what I’ve seen but lost recall.
