Are boys and girls needed to enter the universities in a same number in every subject? People hold divergent opinions about this social issue. Personally, I think this method of allocation has both strengths and weaknesses.
In one hand, this behavior of universities has some optimistic influences. First, it is likely to be beneficial to socical woman's rights. Due to the development of the aspect of people's spirit. Females require to be treated more equally and many males also support them. So if a college measures this way, at least in its campus, feminism can be improved finely. For example, if a man say some discriminatory words to a girl in classroom, this girl is likely to tolerate it because she is in minority. But if she is in majority, the situation may be total different. Second, equal numbers can balance the proportion of gender in some sujects. Such as management and mechanical engineer. The front always has most girls and the behind seldom has girls. So balanced sex is tend to make students get on well with each other.
