People favors clevers, whereas fortune favors fools, thus few people have fortune. Here, "fortune" refers to chance as well as good luck, while "fools" refers to patient, selfless and caring people without brain disorders. Why "fortune favours fools"? It may due to two facts.

For one thing, it takes a long,  patient wait to meet fortune.  Smart persons go ahead faster with little patience. They are used to keep others waiting for them, not vice versa. Waiting makes them feel nervous and regard it as a waste of time. Thus, the clever but hurry people always miss fortune.  On the contrary, those fools may stay a slow path and confirm repeatedly until every detail is perfect. They reflect frequently and stop to observe the surroundings more often. They are so fool that they can use the whole life to finish one thing and wait for the chances. Some of them adhere until the last moment to catch the fortune and success.

For another thing, fortune ask for selflless contribution. Fools always put others' benefits and needs in the first place. In our daily life, we memorise and appreciate heroes who make contributions to society without asking for repay. It is our culture cherishing such a "foolish" virtue that our society lay more focus on fools and offering them more chances than those clever men who are busy in their own business only.

Therefore, we can easily come to the conclusion that fortune favors fools. As the president of apple said "stay hungry, stay foolish", we are not need to be so snobbish nowadays, because fortune favors fools.
