Devotion成立于1997年，是由五个来自美国加州橘子郡的小伙子组建的乐队，乐队在2000年2月推出了第一张专辑《Image Of Devotion》，歌曲My prayer就是出自这张专辑。而其中的单曲When I与Talking 2 U在美国的亚裔市场取得了轰动的效应，使得Devotion乐队成功晋身为美国三大亚裔乐队之一。
而《When I》单曲的销售量在北卡地区登顶。之后，他们进行了一次“Image of Devotion”之旅，在圣地亚哥、洛杉矶、旧金山、西雅图、多伦多、芝加哥、纽约、休斯敦和拉斯维加斯等地巡回演出。
