The disruptions it brings, not different from the sign of a volcanic eruption burst, brings enormous amounts of minerals and resources to the smaller inhabitants of the savanna. Their weight squash the feet deep into the humus, leaving long traces of small clear puddles at the sunken places, which are perfect living spaces for hundreds of tree frog tadpoles to develop into froglets. The enigmatic mount shakes the earth below the Central African rainforests with every sturdy step it takes. The dust and spider webs shook off the old bronze skin, like a curtain that veiled legendary insights. When the wind blows at the flapping ears, the smell of the forest mixes, like curtains hitting the window sill, breathing like lungs when the window is opened, shading the whole room from the tanning heat, stroking the wooden furniture and letting in a soil odoured cool breeze.
A fast moving creature running above the pebbles going upstream, which is relatively easy to spot with its fashionable leopard spotted look with an occasional shine of emerald skin as they move around obstacles. Every time as it sets itself for the next jump, it starts to jerk in a forward motion towards the next stone step almost as tall as it is, creating a big fuss under the bridge, catching everyone attention, who starts pointing at the water where they think the creature is going for. Then with a leap, as if it was a joke, it landed just on the edge and fell off with a hard knock on the peach pink belly. People signed and kept talking. With another long splash, it leaped again, and again, making a splash after another, but never managed to land just enough to stay on the next step. A wind comes, blowing the fish odour towards the streets similar to an eroded washing machines that's been open after ten years of storage. Dead ones lay flat, stranded on the stone steps too shallow to swim, their white bellies now opened with beaks showing smooth flesh and insides. When we moved our eyes back to the creature, it has disappeared from our sight and where it was, has not a single trace of its existence.
