Today I chose a book to read to 3 kids at my hometown, the book’s name was “The wheels on the bus” which I have read lots many times before. This book was illustrated by Annie Kubler.
Started from the cover, we could see a bus full of passengers, and there was a melody tune following the bus so happily, and also lots of animals jumping away from the bus. When I turned the front page, we could see people standing in line to wait for the bus. When we came to the 1st page, I chose to sing this book, and the kids likes that so much, like they were shaking their body as I sang the book, so I just followed the beat. “the wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round. The wheels on the bus go round and round”. I also asked them where the wheels were, they helped to point it out to me, I replied my thanks to them. The 2nd page went to “the wipers on the bus go swish swish swish, swish swish swish, swish swish swish. The wipers on the bus go swish swish swish, all day long”. This time I also asked help from them where the wiper was? They told me the answer, I procceed a question like when we used the wiper, they said when it was rainning. When I read the last but 3 page, I sang the words “the babies on the bus go, wah wah wah. All day long”, one of the kid asked me why the babies cried like wah wah wah, when I saw her asked this question very innocently, I felt so lovely. I asked them when they were little toddlers, did they cry. They said yes, but didn’t remember too much.
The last but 2 page refered the the people on the bus need to be very quiet and kept “Ssh Ssh Ssh”. The kids seems understood very much, I felt a little bit surprised. The last page went to the birthday party, kids were busy recognizing what the people in were doing in the party.
Thanks again to my dear listeners.
