1. beat around the bush拐弯抹角,绕圈子 eg:Stop beating around the bush and tell me what you want.

2. shell out (for sth):to  pay a lot of money for sth

eg:I shell out 600rmb per hour for my daughter's piano class.

3. take sth/sb by storm:在某处大获成功;使观众倾倒

eg: The play took London by storm

4. pipe dream:脱离实际的愿望;行不通的计划

5. a dime a dozen:very common and therefore not valuable

The convenient stores, Seven Eleven, is a dime a dozen in Japan.

6. make/cause a splash:to do sth in a way that attracts a lot of attraction or cause a lot of excitement引起轰动

12. (to) make time for : to put time in one’s schedule for something

eg:Don is a busy lawyer, but he always makes time for his family.

I’ll be sure to make time for you when you visit me.

13. ballpark figure:a number that is approximately right. eg:Give me a ballpark figure.
