Android之Activity启动过程源码解析

一.前言

Activity是Android四大组件之一,其内部工作过程系统已经做了很多封装,因此,使得我们启动一个Activity相当简单,本篇文章基于android 7.1的源码将从startActivity这样简单操作就可启动一个Activity,分析startActivity源码内部的启动流程。废话少说,直接给出启动主流程的时序图:

二 .启动流程分析

以不同的方式启动Activity会经历不同的进程,而不同进程间是通过Binder方式来通信,常见的启动Activity主要有两种:
1.桌面(Launcher)打开一个App的Activity:
Launcher进程->system_server进程->Zygote进程->新App的Activity所在进程
2.在app的Activity组件启动一个新Activity:
App进程->system_server进程->App进程
本文以在app的Activity组件启动一个新Activity进行分析。

2.1 MainActivity所在的App进程

步骤1.在app中新建一个MainActivity.java 启动打开另一个Activity:

很简单,通过上述代码就能启动另一个Activity,然后调用Activity.startActivity。

方法内部通过判断参数options是否为null,但是都是调用的Activity.startActivityForResult不同的重载方法

根据mParent是否为空执行不同的代码块,mParent是什么?其实mParent是一个ActivityGroup,不过在Android3.0的时候就被Fragment所取代,所以也就不再对其做讨论,会执行if分支代码块,然后调用mInstrumentation.execStartActivity方法,mInstrumentation的类型是Intrumentation,接着打开Intrumentation类

发现在这个方法中调用ActivityManagerNative.getDefault().startActivity方法,那么ActivityManagerNative.getDefault()返回什么?其实返回ActivityManagerService的远程接口,即ActivityManagerProxy接口,下面看看ActivityManagerNative.getDefault()的源码。
打开ActivityManagerNative类看方法getDefault():

gDefault是一个单例对象,其内部通过asInterface()方法创建,其中create()方法中

获取一个关联了系统服务ActivityManagerService的Binder对象,然后把IBinder 的对象b传给asInterface(b)返回一个IActivityManager的代理对象,继续看asInterface方法的实现,

asInterface()方法返回ActivityManagerProxy对象,因此ActivityManagerNative.getDefault()返回ActivityManagerProxy对象,然后继续时序图中的ActivityManagerProxy.startActivity。

由步骤4可知ActivityManagerProxy是ActivityManagerService的Binder代理类,它会使系统服务ActivityManagerService的startActivity方法被调用。因此,启动Activity的操作就交给了系统服务ActivityManagerService来处理。

2.2 把启动Activity的操作交给ActivityManagerService处理的system_server进程

方法返回mActivityStarter.startActivityMayWait的调用结果,mActivityStarter在ActivityManagerService的构造函数进行赋值:

startActivityMayWait方法内部又调用了startActivityLocked

方法中执行了启动Activity的一些逻辑判断,在经过判断逻辑之后调用startActivityUnchecked方法

变量mSupervisor是一个ActivityStackSupervisor对象。此时启动过程转移到了ActivityStackSupervisor类的resumeFocusedStackTopActivityLocked方法。

该方法内部逻辑比较复杂,比如暂停启动Activity的那个Activity等操作,接着又会调用ActivityStackSupervisor中的startSpecificActivityLocked函数

方法会判断Activity的application是否已经启动,本文是application已启动的Activity启动另一个Activity,所以会调用realStartActivityLocked,如果通过Launcher组件启动Activity,此时该Activity的application未启动,会mService.startProcessLocked去创建。

app是一个ProcessRecord对象,打开ProcessRecord类看下app.thread是什么

ApplicationThreadProxy.scheduleLaunchActivity()将传递过来的参数写入Parcel对象中,通过ApplicationThreadProxy内部的Binder对象mRemote发起一个 类型为SCHEDULE_LAUNCH_ACTIVITY_TRANSACTION的进程间通信请求。
ApplicationThreadProxy是ActivityThread$ApplicationThread的代理类,真正执行的是ActivityThread$ApplicationThread中的scheduleLaunchActivity,所以我们看一下ActivityThread$ApplicationThread中的scheduleLaunchActivity的实现

2.3 system_server进程接着把启动Activity的操作又交回给app进程

mH是一个H对象,类H是ActivityThread的内部类,并继承了Handler。接着在handleMessage方法中看LAUNCH_ACTIVITY类型消息的处理

从源码上看,performLaunchActivity方法执行一些对象的创建,最后在代码中调用Instrumentation的callActivityOnCreate方法
