There are two important concepts in Chapter 1–thinking pattern and thinking transformation, and they are the same like the fixed mindset and growth mindset in the book Mindset.
When I saw the pictures of the young woman and the old woman the auther offerwd, I fell in a thinking pattern. I regarded a young lady in the picture 2, even though I found something belonged to the old woman. It's the effection of our thinking pattern, and we will know the effection of this kind of mindset in our lives.
I was seriously affected by thinking pattern. When I taught in a middle school as a teacher, I always thought how hard to teach the students were and their grandparents only wanted their safety, rather than their study. I didn't do a survey for this idea or try to solve it, I was complained about it instead. It's a typical of thinking pattern.
I believe we all have this kind of thinking pattern in our lives. If we want to change it, we should learn how to transform our thoughts. To my experience, it's not easy to change ourselves from our heart, and it can't be done in a hurry. So we need to do it step by step.
In my opinion, we need to be a observer at first. When the thinking pattern come out, we need to observe it, and ask ourselves: Am I fall in the thinking pattern? Starting from observing and changing ourselves step by step.
Certaintly, we need to accept our thoughts. If we blame or feel sorry to have thinking pattern, we won't take actions to change it. So it's important to accept ourselves.
The next is analyzing how to change ourselves and taking actions. Stephen Richards Covey said to learn without action is learn nothing, and to know without action is know nothing. And he also showed us how to take actions in the end of each chapter. Both of them means the importance of actions.
I started to change myself at the beginning of last year. At that time we couldn't go out for the epidemic situation and I had a little postpartum depression. I got easier and easier to get angry, so I decided to change myself. I began to learn on the Internet and hoped to change myself by learning. I learned many things and changed a lot after learning in a year.
Thank you for all the teachers and partners! Thank you for your encouragement and support and company to make myself better.
I still have a lot of problems, but I believe I will be better and better if I keep on learning, thinking, practising, reflection and correction about myself. At the same time, I hope I can offer my energy to help more and more partners to be better and better.
