After not finding Cheese for what seemed like a long time, Haw was lost and was afraid he would not survive. Although he was afraid more ofren than he liked to admit, he still went on. And he wondered if his friend, Hem, had moved on, writing on the wall-- movement in a new direction helps you find new cheese.

This passage reminds me of a story about me and a good friend of mine.
We grew up in the same residential building. She was two months older than me. We played and went to school every day for as long as I could remember, and we didn't separate until college. Our friendship was so strong that people said we were inseparable. The first thing I think of when I'm sad is to talk to her, and so does she. I am a timid person sometimes, but she always patiently enlighten me, encourage me and tell me that I am really good in her eyes, which makes me have the courage to take the first step in the face of many difficulties.
Friends can make each other better people, which I think are jewels in our lives. I really appreciate her and cherish this friend and this beautiful friendship.
