LeBron Raymone James is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association.Nicknamed"King James",he was a three-time"Mr.Basketball"of Ohio in high school,and was highly promoted in the national media as a future NBA superstar while a sophomore at St.Mary High school.At just 18,he was selected with the number one pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cavaliers and signed a US$90 million shoe contract with Nike before hie professional debut.Listed as a small forward,James has set numerous youngest player records since joining the league.He was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2003-2004,NBA Most Valuable Player in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010,and has been both ALL-NBA and an ALL-Star every season sice 2005.

On March 1,2010,James filed an application to the NBA to war the 6 starting the 2010/2011 season.He stated a petition saying that no one should be allowed to wear the 23 in the NBA to honor Michae Jordan.It will be the first time James will not be wearing the 23 since his freshman year in high school,when a senior on his team wore it.
