This is about Credential Manager
Move a project to a new PC, do git push, a windows pops up requiring username and password.
But unfortunately, if filled in wrong password, git shows error: RPC failed; HTTP 401 curl 22 The requested URL returned error: 401.
After that, push failed, and cannot get to type the password one more time. May fix this in Control Panel.
Open Control Panel - All Control Panel Items - Credential Manager(on windows 10 may need to choose Windows Credentials), search for the credential.
For example, git:https://github.com , copy the corresponding value from the old PC to the new PC. And push again, push will succeed.
And perhaps use the following commands to get and set username & email:
// Get username from the former config
git config --global user.name
// Get email from the former config
git config --global user.email
// Set username
git config --global user.name=name
// Set email
git config --global user.email=email
