Fine, this ID is set for my English practice, which I value much. So, I will try my best to run it in an interesting way as my other social IDs like.
This week, I read about part of a story called《who moved my cheese》. I believe it must be a very famous book telling about changes and success, as it has already widely spread around Chinese teenagers.
A Summary:
The story begins with several former students whose life went through great changes after their graduation. Facing with unknown future, fear was a common sense they could always felt. However, Michael, one of them, who was running a company, shared them(us) one simple but meaningless story which inspired the majority of his company members. This mysterious story is exactly what I wanna talk about today.
At the beginning of the story, four characters come out living in a maze with four names used as metaphors and a same goal - get nice cheese everyday. Two mice and two little people differ a lot in their ways to achieve their goals. Thanks to their good instincts or wise mind, they all find cheese one day . But the two little people become less alert when two mice are ready to cope with the coming changes. That’s where I end.
My Thinking:
I could even imagine what will happen next, but checking out if I am right is also fun. I think only such small part means a lot to me. In my opinion, two people act wisely in some way- they just try to lower their costs and expand their profits. The cost can include many aspects - time , energy and so on. They know they cannot run as fast as mice do when their comparative advantages should be maximized. So substantially, living besides cheese is a nice choice, which is called getting additional income in economic jargon. However, one old saying in China goes like this:
”One should think of the danger when in peace.”
It seems that it is the only thing people make wrong.Oh, that can also be explained in economic jargon- market is changeable and unpredictable.
My Story:
Concisely, it is a story of my friend. During our senior high school period, she was accidentally found to be talent in biology. Without doubts, she decided to dig deep in this area and she had to give up her basic learning in school. Finally, she won a gold prize in CNBO. She tasted it and spent limited time to expand the profits she had obtained.
It is wise and it is human.
