小屁孩日记是一本蛮搞笑的书籍，虽然是写的是一位孩子平时的家常，但是阅读起来也是十分轻松愉快的。很喜欢这本书里的配图，有时候不知道一些单词的意思，但通过图片就立即可以反应出来。
1 I forgot all about Dad, and we totally paid the price for it.
pay the price for 付出代价，平时都没怎么用到。eg：if you dont pull your weight, you will pay the price for it.
2 Lunch comes right after Phy Ed， and the cafeteria was a complete madhouse.
madhouse 之前遇到过，表示精神院，还有一个意思就是闹哄哄的地方。像我平时喜欢凑热闹，但有时并不喜欢闹哄哄的地方。I am not too into the palce which is a complete madhouse. (重音在前面)
3 After a while, I was really starting to get the hang of it.
以前准备考雅思时，常常见到的词组就是get the hang of it，表示掌握。比如学习日语还是有点点难得，但是还好，我慢慢掌握它了。it is very difficult for me to relearn Japanese, but i am start to get the hang of it.
4 you know, I figure he'd pull sth like that. But i guess you can't expect everyone to have the same kind of dedication as you.
小小年龄的小屁孩就懂得这个道理，不错不错。突然想到易洋千玺，以前从没有对易洋千玺有过任何好感，但后来，看到这就是街舞，他的说话方式，他的礼貌，智慧等等都给我留下了蛮深刻的印象呢。
很喜欢小屁孩说的这句话，我们永远不要期待任何人和我们有一样的热情和专注。他的这句话也是对我这个大人说的，是的，不要太过于期待啦，慢慢寻找的同时，还是做好自己呢 ～～
5 I knew that would make Dad take my side. Dad and Mom argued for a few minutes, but Dad was no match for Mom.
take sb's side就是站在某人一边， Dad was no match for Mom, 也就是说爸爸不是妈妈的对手了。举个例子，即使我不是他的对手，但是我永远支持你呢。Although i am no match for him, I always take your side.
