I stayed up late to finish the last several chapters. To be honest,I am disappointed with the ending.I had thought it could be a happy ending at the end of the book, but the reality is just as opposite, and it seems as it is not an end at all,but maybe it will be better to give us the opportunity to make full use of our imagination to conceive what comes next.I feel sad when I read the plot Abileen was fired and she had to leave Mae.I can imagine how hard it is when you have no choice but to conform, especially to leave someone you love most. The real relationship between Mae and Abileen can be seen from every aspect.Abileen really loved the girl, she taught her and told her you are kind, you are beautiful, you are smart when she was ignored by her mother.Abileen treated Mae like her own child. If without Abileen' s help,I reckon Mae would be depressed after she grown up.It reminds me of some of my depressed students these days ,maybe lack of love is one of the factors contributing to their depression.Baby girl is lucky, she had Abileen to attend to her when she was young.Just like what is said in the book,A good help is like true love, you only get one in your life.Unfortunately,Mae lost Abileen.
Among all the characters,I really appreciate Minny and Abileen. Minny is a lovely woman, you can tell his happiness and sorrow from her face, because she revealed her emotions explicitly.she called Hilly bitch,Miss Celia fool...The two sides in a person can also be sensed from her personality.on one hand, she was a timid, she was afraid of hitting from her husband,so she tried to have more baby, and only that she could get rid of it even if she really wanted to leave him but she didn't. on another hand, she was brave, she put the chocolate pie's story into the book so as to protect everyone in the book except her.she was kind, she cared for Miss Celia when she knew she couldn't have any baby and all of them burst into tears, while she was bad,she put dirty into the cake and made Hilly eat it.because of time,I 'lke to talk about Abileen next time....
