Once upon a time, a girl called Chelsea roamed the sandy plains of Alorian. Alorian was a city located in the far west of Chelsea’s home town. She was in the middle of a dry, cracked desert and was in search for a treasure. The suns rays were like glass spikes with poisoned tips, seeping into her pores and draining every drop, of water. Her feet tumbled in front of her and so did her arms. The wind gently swept sand into her eyes and nose and mouth, constantly causing her to sneeze and crack the scabs made by the lack of liquid. The desert was rough and soft, but Chelsea’s determination to find this treasure bypassed everything that happened around and to her. Chelsea felt as if every step she took lead her closer to the destination of the hidden treasure, even though she had no map or compass. Her instinct guided her through the harsh terrain and her determination fueled all of that. Chelsea slowly stopped to a halt. Her lips so dry that the sound of her nails sliding across them sounded like crunching paper and popping bubble wrap at the same time. Staring at the vast sea of silky sand, she remembered what her father had told her when she was an infant. She continued to push on.

It was as if years had passed and she was still walking on the sea of sand. Her eyes began to flutter and her brain felt numb. Finally for the first time, she had caught the sight of a road. The sky had darkened and the stars reluctantly creeped out. The sand turned black and the creatures were beginning to emerge form their shadows. Chelsea quickly stopped to a halt. Inside her, she felt free. Free from hate, free from the locked cage she was held in. Chelsea had found the treasure. It was her true self. She had unlocked herself from the horrors of her past. In excitement and joy Chelsea ran, on her bleeding feet to the road and screamed over her achiement.
