A polluted place you have been to

There are an enormous places that have been polluted. I am going to share with you a place that had been polluted, which was the West Lake in Hangzhou. The West Last is a famous tourist attraction, which is located in the suburb area.  When I was six years old , that was the first time I had been to this lake. I was amazed by the breathtaking view of it. There were a lot of poets who had written poems about this lake. When I arrived at this place, I thought these poets were telling the truth. But the second time I had been there was almost nine years ago. I was shocked when I got there, because I saw some plastic bags and bottles were floating in the lake. Moreover, the water was not as clean as it used to be. I guess the reason was that the tickets of the West Lake were canceled. It was a way for the government to develop the local tourism. In this case, most of the local businesses depended on tourism. However, the environment was damaged. Then a few years ago, when I went to the college, I went to this lake again and I think the situation was getting better. Maybe the government realized that earning money is not their priority.
