Before I left home for work, I turned off the air-conditioner in Dora's bedroom, in order to disturb her sleep, so she would not get up too late... During the break before 9:00, I left her a message on QQ to remind her the things that she should remember to do... Usually she responds quickly after she reads my messages... But this time was an exception; the whole morning nearly passing, I still received no message from her... I made calls which were transferred to a voicebox... Was she still in sleep?... I was not worried yet, for young people do have good sleep anyway...
After lunch, I began to agitate a bit; yet talking with a friend made me forget her a while... When the afternoon work began, I was not feeling good... At the break, I messaged and called Ray, asking him whether Dora had contact with him... Nope... My heart was sinking lower and lower, heavier and heavier... Worried, I ended the work eventually...
Immediately rushing home, I had the wildest terrible imaginings in my brain, feeling sick... It took me the least time to travel back home... When I was stopped by a passerby who wanted to ask for direction, I said sorry, for I was occupied... I didn't know where my daughter was... What had happened to her so she could not contact us?... Unlocking the door, I called her name, but no response... I rushed to her bedroom and discovered the door still remained closed... Opening it, she was still sleeping in her bed!... It was 4:00 pm!... She was finally aroused from her dreams by my loud noise made on purpose...
The sweltering heat, the noisy neighbourhood, nothing could sway her determination to sleep... Which made me envious enormously...
When Daddy was home, he said he had lost his sleep on the coach... Of course, we have a sleep snatcher at home!...
