假如预定了酒店，在办理入住登记时，可以这样和前台说：

I would like to check in, please? I have a reservation under the name ＊＊.

make a reservation under the name 用某人的名字预定

When you travel a lot, this phrase will come in handy.   

come in handy means useful, 派的上用场

Eg：My secretary made a reservation under my name.

I am sorry, sir. I don't have a reservation under that name.

Do you have a reservation under the name Smith？
