一、Everyone Has a Story in Life
A 24-year-old boy seeing out from the train's window shouted . . .
“Dad, look the trees are going behind!”Dad smiled and a young couple, sitting nearby, looked at the 24-year-old's childish behavior with pity. Suddenly he again exclaimed . . .
“Dad, look the clouds are running with us!”
The couple couldn't resist and said to the old man . . .
“Why don't you take your son to a good doctor?”
The old man smiled and said, “I did and we are just coming from the hospital. My son was blind from birth. He just got his eyes today.”
Every single person on the planet has a story. Don't judge people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you.
「 Don't judge people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you. 」
Two Apples
A sweet little girl was holding two apples in both hands.
Her mum came in, and with a smile, softly asked her daughter: "Sweetie, could you give your mum one of those apples?"
The girl looked up at her mum for a few seconds, then suddenly took a quick bite of one apple, and then a quick bite of the other.
The mum felt the smile on her face freeze.
She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment.
Then the little girl handed one of her bitten-into apples to her mum, and said: "Here you are, Mummy. This one is much sweeter."No matter who you are, how experienced you are, or how knowledgeable you think you are, don't pass judgement without giving others the chance to explain themselves first.
What you first see, may not be the reality.
Never conclude for others.
Benjamin Button's Letter to Daughter
For what it's worth:
It's never too late, or in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be.
There's no time limit. Start whenever you want.
You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing.
We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it.
And I hope you see things that startle you.
I hope you feel things you never felt before.
I hope you meet people with a different point of view.
I hope you live a life you're proud of.If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
「 I hope you live a life you're proud of. 」
Tame Me
“Good morning,” said the fox.
“Good morning,” the little prince responded politely, although when he turned around he saw nothing.
“I am right here,” the voice said, “under the apple tree.”
“Who are you?” asked the little prince, and added, “You are very pretty to look at.”
“I am a fox,” said the fox.“Come and play with me,” proposed the little prince. “I am so unhappy.”
“I cannot play with you,” the fox said. “I am not tamed.”
“Ah! Please excuse me,” said the little prince. But, after some thought, he added: “What does that mean — 'tame’?”
“It is an act too often neglected,” said the fox. “It means to establish ties.”
“To establish ties?”
“Just that,” said the fox. “To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world . . . ."
The Power of Gratitude
Gratitude and giving thanks is really one of the most powerful things you can practise every day, if you are committed to achieving anything in life.
It's no secret almost all truly successful people talk about the power of gratitude.
It's that feeling of being blessed. It's getting grateful with those things you do already have that attract more great things into your life and really just give you the drive to get more, to go out and work for more.
When I write down what I'm grateful for, it's always for things money can't buy.
You know, thank you for my drive. Thank you for my mental strength. Thank you for giving me the courage not to give up, all those times when it seemed impossible when I know 99% of people would have given up. THANK YOU for giving me that strength.
Thank you for the character to keep going for months, for years and years without any progress until I turned it around.
Thank you for my health!
Thank you for my family!
You see, these are my real blessings
Money is.
Christmas Gifts
I never believed in Santa Claus. None of us kids did. Mom and Dad refused to let us. They couldn't afford expensive presents and they didn't want us to think we weren't as good as other kids who, on Christmas morning, found all sorts of fancy toys under the tree that were supposedly left by Santa Claus.Dad had (漏读) lost his job, and when Christmas came that year, we had no money at all. On Christmas Eve, Dad took each one of us kids out into the desert night one by one.
“Pick out your favorite star,” Dad said.
“I like that one!” I said.
Dad grinned, “that's Venus”, he said. He explained to me that planets glowed because reflected light was constant and stars twinkled because their light pulsed.
“I like it anyway,” I said.
“What the hell,” Dad said. “It's Christmas. You can have a planet if you want.”And he gave me Venus.
Venus didn't have any moons or satellites or even a magnetic field, but it did have an atmosphere sort of similar to Earth's, except it was super hot—about 500 degrees or more. “So,” Dad said, “when the sun starts to burn out and the Earth turns cold, everyone might want to move to Venus to get warm. And they'll have to get permission from your descendants first."
We laughed about all the kids who believed in the Santa myth and got nothing for Christmas but a bunch of cheap plastic toys. “Years from now, when all the junk they got is broken and long forgotten,” Dad said, “you'll still have your stars.”
