As countries develop ,more and more people buy and use of their cars .Do you think the advantages of this trend for individuals outweigh its disadvantages?

The advent of cars has greatly changed humans' ways of life and the number of cars people own is consistently on the rise .However ,the staggering advancement of automobile industry is accompanied by severe pollution of environment .In my view ,this tendency brings more environmental perils than the merits it carries .
Obviously,a car owner is offered a more flexible schedule than those who rely on public transportation . In this regard , people's life has become less-time consuming and more economical（省时又节约）via driving cars .Apart from that , being more mobile should be considered as another big advantage .Without cars , the world still consist ofnumerous isolated communities ,which ,to a large extent ,will confine a nation's social and economic progress .
On the other hand , the popularisation of vehicles poses heavy threats to the environment . To commence with ,with current technology , more energy is consumed when the number of automobiles grows ,more air pollution is generated .Cars drink up huge amounts of fuel and throw out huge amounts of pollutants . As a result ,these posionous particles, PM2.5 included ,seriously destroy the atmosphere ,which renders the air of cities ,metropolis in particular ,unbearable.Recently the increasingly worse air quality in lots of cities in China can be illustrated as a good example .
In addition , noise pollution is also closely associated with the alarming growing volume of traffic worldwide. It is reported that noise originating from traffic transportation accounts for 75% among all the city noise.Without doubt ,cars are the chief culprit.The noise round the downtown of Shanghai is said to up to be 91.2 decibel which can be expected toinfluence citizens' routine life and work .
To sum up ,instead of comfort and convenience the fantastic spur of auto industry brings about to individuals, it incurs heavy risks to our surroundings we rely on.Therefore, I firmly believe that the wide use of cars are more destructive than constructive.
