How much does Chinese know about other culture?
Many Chinese think that they know much about other countries and culture, and think aliens know nothing about China, or American know nothing about the world. Unfortunately, Chinese really know nothing about other culture. Or, if I describe with another way, people always read the world with their own culture, they always make mistakes. Especially, people who make mistakes seldom realize they are wrong.
For example, many western people think that Tibet is different nation, they think that Tibet is similar to Scotland, Quebec,etc. Many Chinese think that Japanese culture learned from China, it is similar to China. But, both of them are wrong. The difference between different culture is so large, that one person, even if who is well educated, still always make same mistakes.
