Part 1：工作的三种层次

1.1 理论介绍
Calling,Career,Job

1.2 工作
"A means to an end" means a thing that is not valued or important in itself but is useful in achieving an aim.
For example:
Job is defined to be a means to an end.

The world's top three highest-paying jobs are said to be surgeon,psychiatrist and general practice physician.

"Command" here means that surgeon deserves and gets a lot of money.
For example:
Among the three jobs,"surgeon" commands the highest median salary.

1.3 事业
“Prestige” means respect and admiration given to someone or something.
For example:
Instead,they view their work as a clear upward "ladder",a career.
They focus on what brings them success or prestige.

"Mastery of a given domain" means that you are in charge,and you are at the highest level of the given domain.
For example:
A career person enjoys the benefits of advancement and mastery of a given domain.

Every athlete dies twice. Once when they take their last breath,and the other when they hang it up.

1.4 天职
A calling is an integral part of your life and identity.
Any job can become a calling and any calling can become a job.

Part 2：何谓“理想的工作”

Q1:Do your want to go to work every morning?

A "demeanor" is a way of looking and behaving.
an assuming demeanor = 装模作样

Q2:Do you enjoy working with your colleagues?

Or doyou feel that working with them makes your workplace an abyss of darkness?

Q3:Can the company help you complete your personal mission?

If you are a person of great enterprise,then you need the company to have promotion channels for your position.

Q4:Can you imagine working there for over a year?

Part 3：如何找到一份理想的工作

Fixed mindset and growth mindset are the two basic mindsets that shape our lives.

3.1 固定心态
If you are doing your work with a fixed mindset,you assume that your ability and intelligence can't be enhanced in any meaningful way.
People who have a fixed mindset may only have passion doing tasks within their existing ability.
Those with a fixed mentality stay on the safe side. In a short period of time,it may prevent you from getting into trouble.
People who have a growth mindset think that one can learn or improve by experience. They believe that human intelligence is not inherited but learned.
One has inherited intelligence means on is born intelligent.

keenly attentive = 密切关注，充满渴求的
For example:
Growth-mindset people are keenly attentive to information that could help them expand their existing knowledge and skill.
A growth mindset creates a passion for learning rather than a hunger for approval. And this is exactly what makes the growth mindset so winsome.
