Amy邀请Penny作伴去参加一个科学研讨会，Penny起先是拒绝的，但得知是有spa的四星酒店，决定权当是度假。Sheldon作为旅行监督员首先给大家讲规矩，一路又坐在领头车不断呼叫后车，提议玩猜元素的游戏，Penny不懂就乱猜，被Sheldon鄙视不配坐领头车，Penny奋起对抗，结果被赶到了后车，听Howard和Bernadette的情歌对唱，道歉都回不来……
到了研讨会，Howard发现Bernadette和一个高大的帅哥打招呼，嫉妒心顿起，得知对方与Bernadette交往过一年后，更是忍不住比较，终于把Bernadette气得甩下他去跟Penny和Amy挤。由于Amy夜惊，Penny只好前往Leonard和Sheldon的房间投宿。半夜被Sheldon发现，由于Leonard不肯保证绝对不跟Penny交媾，Sheldon又过去Raj房间了。Penny刚刚有点松动想跟Leonard一夜情，Raj拿了Sheldon的钥匙就进来了，还准备喊他们一起看《BJ单身日记》，被拒绝后就爬上床睡了，全然不顾被搅了好事的Leonard何等抓狂。
第二天研讨会发言被Howard以皮里阳秋的讽刺Bernadette带偏了主题，Amy的直白和Raj的胡说八道更是雪上加霜，最终连最沉得住气的Leonard都忍不住指控Raj坏了自己的好事，而台下的Penny高声表示无意复合，不过是一夜情而已！Sheldon匆忙打开提问环节，Penny马上就问有没有顺风车可以搭，Glenn挺身而出，Leonard捶胸顿足……回去路上Howard愤愤地把对讲机扔了，而Leonard不知不觉地开车超速，且即将被警车追上……
