Nowadays, with the advancing of economy and the improvement of living standard, increasing number of people are paying attention to the beauty of their countenance and slenderness of their shapes. The thriving of the cosmetic industry is an obvious proof, let alone those saloons that provide delicate services for skin. Simultaneously, various kinds of beauty contests are also stimulating people to make themselves more good-looking and slenderer.
Beauty is a topic that women always concern, and the only one that could make women stop gossiping and keep silence, even hold their breath because they always dream to be the fairest of all. Hence, do not ask me who is the most beautiful one in China. Never are the winners of all beauty contests the answer to it. Never is there a destination on the journey to be the most beautiful one.
This phenomenon triggers questions: Does beauty really concern? What role does it play? And why ?
My answer to the first one is positive. We all know that the first impression is very important, which is often related to success or failure. In order to make a good impression on the person who could determine our fates, the first thing we always do ,maybe ,is to make ourselves neat and clean, which already has had something to do with the beauty. But we still can not deny that although here being beautiful really holds water . In other words, your beauty means something. What counts is still your ability in your career. Anyway, frequent seeing would fade any beauty.
Therefore, on the basis of above- mentioned , I strongly recommend that people had better not spend too much time or money on their appearance. Instead, the energies and expenses on that should be issued to the construction of their abilities and improvement of themselves. Why? Because beauty is just like a drop of dew, which would disappear soon, whereas, your abilities are like a diamond, which must exist longer than your beauty. Let others admire you for what you have done! If you are treated as an empty beautiful doll, it would be a shame. In one sentence, if you are neat and clean, I believe that it is adequate for a good first impression, anything more would be a waste.
Then it would be easier for you to infer that cosmetic surgery must be nonsense to me. I would always prefer natural things, no matter it were foods or clothes, not mention the organs of my body. And if it were me, I would spend the money that cosmetic surgery costs on the refinement of my qualities. I assume that the charm of the latter would shine longer than the former. Anyway, everybody would get old, especially women.
I have a daughter. Because of it, I was often asked that whether I hope her to be beautiful or talented. Frankly, if I could choose, I would have both ,I mean ,talents and beauty. It is impossible. You just can not have the cake and the egg at the same time. Then my choice would be talent. I am aware of the fact that beauty is the thing that you could not rely on for ever, in contrast to that, talent is the basis of the ability, which would accompany you till you die.
If I had a son, my first choice would be different. I would choose talent for him without any hesitation. Since I understand that if a man gets his credit for his face, he would be spoiled sooner or later. Maybe, this is a prejudice. But I always insist that a man should be thought highly of by his good qualities. Beauty is only one little thing that may make you feel good. It is not belonging to the genuine core values, it is just like a mask: at last ,you have to remove it. We should never depend on our faces to earn confidences.
All in all, if letting me summarize my viewpoint in one sentence, it would be that: owning capabilities is always better than being beautiful!
