问号 Question Mark ？

1.  问号用于结束直接问句（direct question），如果是间接问句（indirect question）则用句号。

例子：直接问句（direct question）

What can I do for you？

I want to go, but how can？

“When will you go to school？” he asked.

例子：间接问句（indirect question）

She asked me when you could go.

2.  问号可用于某些句子结尾当作问题，以表示怀疑或不肯定。

例子：

You actually like David？

（注意：这句子用问号或句号会有不同意思。）

3.  将问号加上括号，可用作不肯定的日期或数字。

例子：

Mary Browns, an English author who was born in 1578(？)and died in 1630, wrote pamphlets on women's rights.

感叹号 Exclamation Point ！

感叹号可作加强语气，表示叹息、命令、惊慌或不信任等，可放在一句子、分句或短语之后。

例子：

Help！

Peter！ Look out behind you！

“Oh no！ There's been an accident！” cried my sister.

Get out of my way！Now！

注意：当使用问号或感叹号时，不要再跟着使用逗号或句号。

例子：

错误句子：  She asked, “How are you?.”

正确句子：  She asked, “How are you?”

错误句子：  “You can't do that again！,”ordered my father.

正确句子：  “You can't do that again！” ordered my father.
