译注：
1、诗题COTE可以做多种理解，可以指英语方言中的小屋子、鸟类或哺乳动物的巣穴或饲养棚屋，在Urban Dict中还有一个义项专指“一位风度翩翩的年轻法国男子。他深谙魅力之道，内心却温柔而真诚。他笑声爽朗，所作所为皆充满诗意”。这说明“Cote”在诗歌标题中可能按照一种字面意思理解，而是作为结构化隐喻的一部分，承载着诗人特意营造的反讽。
2、希望与和平的鸟儿暗指基督教图像学中的鸽子（象征圣灵与和平）或古典神话中的鸽子（维纳斯的圣鸟）。
3、一翼一祷（A wing and a prayer）戏仿了“靠一翼一祷”（on a wing and a prayer）这一习语（意指绝望的希望），强化了作者自嘲式的讽刺。
