I was being testedfor a driving license for the third time. I had been asked to drive in heavytraffic and had done so successfully. After having been instructed to drive outof town, I began to acquire confidence. Sure that I had passed, I was almost beginningto enjoy my test. The examiner must have been pleased with my performance, forhe smiled and said, 'Just one more thing, Mr. Eames. Let us suppose that achild suddenly crosses the road in front of you. As soon as I tap on thewindow, you must stop within five feet.' I continued driving and after sometime, the examiner tapped loudly. Though the sound could be heard clearly, ittook me a long time to react. I suddenly pressed the brake pedal hard and wewere both thrown forward. The examiner looked at me sadly. 'Mr. Eames,' hesaid, in a mournful voice,' you have just killed that child!'

练习感悟： 今天的文章也是相对比较简单，读了三四遍就达到了标准，不过要真形成英语腔调，还是必须不停练习才行，而且我发现很多单词读了之后就忘了，不知道以后多来几轮是否能记住。
