Apples grow on the ground 苹果竟然长在地上
As everyone knows, this is an indisputable fact that apples grow on the tree. Although it will be possible for the apple growing on the ground with the development of science, or maybe it has already been"possible", people still sees apples hanging on the tree, not on the ground.
众所周知,苹果长在树上是不争的事实。尽管随着科学的发展,未来苹果可能长在地上,或者这种可能已经实现了,但今天,人们看到的仍然是苹果挂在树上,而非长在地上。
Here, I just want to share some funny stories that occurred during the period of my learning French. I always heard that French is the most beautiful and difficult foreign language in the world, before I had learned it. Unfortunately, that's true. There are so many grammars confusing me: the place of little word, the verb's conjugation, especially the noun's gender etc...etc.
这里,我只是想与大家分享一下我在法语学习过程中发生的一些有趣的小故事。在学习法语前,总是听人们说:法语是世上最美但也是最难的语言。不幸的是,就是这样。有太多语法困扰着我:各种小词的使用位置、动词变位,特别是名词的性别等等……等等。
But fortunately, I have found a lot of interesting things to make me feel fun in the process. As I mentioned above, "apples on the ground”--potato in English is la pomme de terre in French. Pomme is apple, terre means ground.la pomme de terre can directly be translated into apple of ground.
但同时幸运的是,我也发现很多有趣的事情让我在这个过程中感到快乐。正如我上面提及的长在地上的苹果。英语中的potato(土豆)在法语中是la pomme de terre.Pomme 是苹果,而terre则是土地。la pomme de terre 可被直接翻译成地上的苹果。
I don't not why I feel so funny when I saw this word at the first sight and imaged that red and big apples grow on the ground. But oddly, la pomme de terre stuck immediately in my mind.
我不知道为什么在我一看到这个词是就想像又大又红的苹果长在地上,但奇怪的是,这个词一下子扎在我的脑海里,挥之不去。
Equally, Shushu in Chinese means Uncle in English. When I had told a French friend of mine, who was learning Chinese, that I would pass my weekend at my Uncle's (Shushu), he laughed exaggeratedly, because the pronunciation of "shushu"means "darling"(chouchou) in French. See, it is very helpful to find these funs.
同样的,汉语中的叔叔在英文中是Uncle。 在我告诉我的一个法国朋友(这里要说明他当时在学习中文)我要去我的叔叔家过周末时,他夸张的大笑,因为叔叔的法语在法语中的意思是宝贝、亲爱的(chouchou)。看,发现这些趣事相当有用哦。
