Openclaw的Memory系统

Memory概念和作用

大语言模型本身是无状态的。Openclaw通过Memory记住过去的聊天内容，使用markdown格式持久化保存。只有将历史内容保存在记忆之后，历史内容才算是“保险”，否则重新开始会话或者是重启Openclaw之后，先前的对话内容会丢失。Memory可以在后面的对话中按需召回。

对话中告诉agent记住什么内容，openclaw会在workspace/memory目录中生成对应内容的md文件。

Memory层次结构

Memory具有两层结构。

memory/yyyy-mm-dd.md。每日总结。
MEMORY.md。重要的记忆内容。每次都会加载。

Memory压缩

大语言模型的上下文是有限制的。随着对话轮数的增加，上下文信息会变得非常长，最终会超过模型的上下文长度限制。为了应对这种问题，Openclaw引入了memory压缩机制。通过大语言模型的归纳总结能力，从对话的历史记录中概括出关键信息，替换掉原先的对话历史记录。这个过程称为memory压缩。

手动触发压缩可以在聊天界面输入/compact。或者是执行如下命令：/compact Focus on decisions and open questions，告诉压缩memory的同时尽量保留哪方面的信息。

注意，如果对话的context长度超过了模型限制，则无法触发压缩，也无法继续对话，只能/new新建一个会话。以前的对话记录会丢失。

Openclaw还支持自动压缩，它默认开启。通过/status可以看到当前会话内容已被压缩的次数。

触发的时机使用如下公式描述：contextTokens > contextWindow - reserveTokens 即当前上下文token数大于模型上下文窗口长度 - 保留的token数（可理解为安全预留的token数）。那么问题来了，contextWindow Openclaw是如何得知的？对于厂商提供的模型服务，Openclaw可以感知到LLM对应的contextWindow 。对于本地部署的模型，它的contextWindow显式配置位于models配置中，例如：

本地部署的模型Openclaw可能会检测不到模型允许的最长上下文窗口。因此需要在此处手工配置。

当会话token估算值超过contextWindow - reserveTokensFloor - softThresholdTokens 时触发刷新。

我们还可以主动告诉Openclaw记住某事，从而实现手动记忆。方法为对话告诉openclaw：你要记住xxxxxx，Remember the following messages: xxxxx。

QMD 混合搜索配置

什么是QMD

QMD 是配套 OpenClaw 运行的记忆引擎后端，可替换 OpenClaw 默认内置 SQLite 检索模块，集成 BM25 关键词检索、向量语义检索与本地 LLM 重排序、查询扩展能力，能同时索引工作区记忆文件、历史会话记录以及自定义本地项目文档、团队笔记等外部目录，全程离线本地运行、自动加载 GGUF 轻量模型，检索时只提取高度相关文本片段送入上下文，大幅降低 Token 消耗、提升历史对话与本地资料的召回精准度，主要解决 OpenClaw 原生记忆检索语义匹配弱、只能索引内置记忆文件、长对话 Token 开销过高、难以跨会话调取过往信息的痛点。
