At last, when she asked Humbert for financial help, the first thought of her is to have sex with Humbert to get the money. However, Humbert loves her. Although at first he may be attracted because of her beauty and the leftover of the love of a 14-year-old young girl who died in her most beautiful time, Humbert falls in love with Lo incurably until he dies. I don't know why and I don't know how, but he didn't find other girls when Lo disappeared. That means he really loves her.
Humbert killed Quality at last. I think he just does not want to admit that Lo has never loved him. He killed Quality for his guilty. Maybe he was using that way to compensate Lo.
Anyway, everyone dies at last.
Maybe that's the best result.
I would still go mad with tenderness at the mere sight other face.
