Today after breakfast, I went to the farm with a colleague. On the way, we talked about work. I can feel my English has made great progress, but I still have a long way to go. Sometimes I just sit there, not knowing how to speak, because every time I don’t know what to say, I always look for my colleague for help. I know he is good at English, so I rely on him, which is not a good habit. I should forget him, just think it’s only me speaking English. If I want to join the conversation, I must speak English. No one can help me but myself.
We also talked about my Danish colleague. He is humble and kind, like my father. I have visited many famous places in China, and he knows a lot about Chinese history. He knows many things about China. He has four children. I don’t have many children—just one, like him. He is an animal engineer and knows how to feed pigs. So I should learn from him. If I have any questions, I will ask him. He is very friendly, and we all like him.
Today, we visited the farm. Everything was arranged very well. I’m very grateful to my brother, because he gave me this chance to know more and learn a lot. From job to life, from country to country, from the present to ancient times—I had a pleasant Monday.
Thank you, everyone.
