It was the tenth time that my daughter had been given the vaccination injection. This morning she woke up earlier than before. Having bathed comfortably , she was sent to the hospital ,accompanied by my mother-in-law and me. After it was done, we left for my seventh auntie's to have lunch.
Look at the picture above, do you feel hungry? To tell you the truth, it is called Salt Tea, a sort of specialty in Shanwei. Now I'll tell you more about this culture.
The salty tea
Salt tea is popular in Shanwei and Jieyang, and in parts of Guangxi and Xiangxi. It is one of the old and economical ways to treat guests. Therefore, it has the effect of strengthening the spleen, promoting the stomach and prolonging life. The custom of salty tea has been handed down from generation to generation for a long time.
Ingredients:tea,peanut,dried peppermint leaf; parched rice ，linseed;olive,etc.
Procedures:
1.Place the tea, dried peppermint leaf ,olive into the tooth bowl (a special inner sawtooth pottery , mix and crush them.
2.Prepare a bottle of boiled water and pour it into the tooth bowl.
3.Several minutes later,you can have them in the bowl, adding some peanuts,parched rice ，linseed beneath the bowl.
