< Mr seahorse > is one of the famous picture books of Eric Carl.The sea fish in the book are colorful. Carle uses painted collages and transparent pages to create a real, colorful and interesting submarine world. And the story is about fathers of the fish in the ocean. They tried to protect and took care of their babies, they showed us a strong father's love. The main character is Mr seahorse.
Mrs seahorse laid the eggs in to Mr seahorse’s pouch, Mr seahorse carrying the eggs traveled in the ocean. He met a lot of dangerous fish (eg.trumpet fish, Lion fish, leaf fish, stone fish), when I read this part, I would said nervously, “ go away, Mr seahorse, there is a __________. It is a dangerous fish.” The kids liked to repeat after me.

There are trumpet fish hidden in a patch of reeds. They’re dangerous fish.

There is a lionfish hidden behind a carol reef. It’s a dangerous fish.

Look at these daddy fish. They are amazed by the very strange way of hatching their eggs.
The snout is busy, he is protecting his eggs. He is a good father.
Daddy tilapia can’t speak. Because his eggs are in his mouth. He is a good father.
Daddy pipefish makes the eggs line up under his body. He is a good father.
Mr catfish is babysitting his babies. He is a good father.
Finally, the baby seahorses came out from Daddy’s pouch. He said, “l love you!” He is a good father!
After reading the book, the younger kids will learned that Mr seahorse is a good father. I encouraged them to say: “ I have a good father, I love my father.”
The kids love painting a seahorse.
