1、The trouble is Dr Lee was saying that you have to be careful with some of the figures relating to poverty.(C20 Test2 Part3第23句)
跟读这句话，一个主要的疑惑点是relating to poverty这个地方。因为我过去比较熟悉的是something related to some other thing. 也就是一般用related，但这这句话中却用了动名词形态relating。后来查了一下，发现relating to sth 与related to sth虽然在汉语意思上差不多，但在英文当中，还是有明显区别，relating to sth表示是明显的直接相关，就是这方面的事，但是related是通过观察或分析，解读出来，间接相关的的关系。比如：
watching movies related to recreation.
box office relating to this movie
2、Yeah, they've opened some massive new shopping centers outside my city.(C20 Test2 Part3第37句)
outside这个词也是词性非常丰富，可以做名词，形容词，副词和介词，所以在这句话中可以直接说outside my city, outside在这里就做了介词，当然也可以说outside of my city,那outside就做了名词了。
