The date of theSpring Festival always changes.Usually the date falls between the end of january and February 19.This year it fells on February5.But the celebration usually starts one week before the Spring Festival Eve.
Today is Xiaonian.We usually clean houses on this day.By cleaning,we can sweep bad luck away.Another thing we do is decorating our homes with spring couplets,paper-cuttings and the upside-down“fu”character.
A long time ago,a monster called Nian ate people on the Spring Festival Eve.But Nian was afraid of loud noises,the color red and fire.So,people played drums and gongs and set off fireworks. It scared Nian.
From then on,on the Spring Festival Eve,people play drums and gongs,set off fireworks and put up red lanterns.We welcome the new year.
Chinese New Year is coming soon.I am very happy!I can put on my new clothes.We can get a lot of lucky money.We can eat a big dinner. We can do many interesting things.I expect Chinese New Year coming.
My spring festival,this year I have a happy spring featival with my family.On New Year's Eve,all the family people get to have a big dining in the resturant.During the dining we have a small talk and play some games.
