I love Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's "The Little Prince". When I was a child, my mother read it to me to help me fall asleep. As I grew up, I read it to make myself happy.
We yearn to grow up, to have our parents always be by our side, to not be separated from our friends, to have an intimate love in our hearts, and to crave for more but be content with what we have. No matter how much we grow up, a childlike heart is precious.
The Little Prince came from a small planet called B-612. He had a small garden and was the only resident on the planet. He went to Earth to seek the truth to save himself and Rose, the flower. Despite his efforts, The Little Prince eventually understood that Rose was his true love. "If you love a flower that lives on a star, it is sweet to look at the sky at night. All the stars are a-bloom with flowers." The education of love is learned through growing up and heartfelt understanding.
The Little Prince also said to himself, "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
I love Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, and perhaps every girl in the world loves him and his creation, "The Little Prince". Over 100 years ago, the wreckage of an aircraft and an exquisite bracelet with a string of numbers was found in a small river in a French village. Later, people discovered that these numbers were all the anniversaries of Saint-Exupéry and his girlfriend, and he died in a plane crash during WWII while on a flying mission. He was printed on the 50-franc note as a forever tribute and commemoration.
