Breakfast is the most delicious of the three meals. It provides lots of food like baozi, porridge, some vegetables ,noodles, an egg and a bowl of jiaozi for breakfast. For lunch ,we have some chicken, fish and beancurd, bean sprouts and some rice with tomato soup.we have some vermicelli, a fried chicken wing and some bean products for supper.I think they are far beyond homemade food but they are OK ---four dishes one soup for outside visitors. You can see at school we eat Chinese food.
After breakfast, four of us took a walk around it Suon College and saw some amazing things :the roof is the best place for wild swans to rest and hear them singing in the bright spring day. The cute squirrels jump around to find their food.when we get near them, they hide them selves on the tree or quickly get away. They make me think of the Iesson I gave last term--wild animals. In China, people always eat animals no matter whether they are harmless or not. Maybe we take it for granted that we are prior to those species ,so we show no pity on them. However ,the free flying birds in the sky ,jumping back-and-forth squirrels, the vast clear blue sky as well as the slowing down cars really touch me a lot----for their common pursuit of harmony between humans and nature. So if given again, I will show more photos like this to call on humansecological consciousness. No selling,no killing. Otherwise, the last drop of water must be humans' tears.
In the afternoon,we walked towards Walmat which is on Jan. St to buy some necessities.People there are mostly black people. There are various things which are carefully arranged on the shelf. To find the goods you need , just look up and you can see the lists above the shelf. Only few cashiers are found in such a big supermarket. They weigh the fruit or vegetables if necessary and collect cash at the exit. When I have problems finding things I need, I have to ask local customers for help. They are full of hospitality and show you to the things we need or choose what you need for you.On our way back , we visited a famous coffee shops ---Tim Hortons, just like Starbucks in China. I ordered a medium-sized latte with a croissant. The coffee is a bit bitter while the croissant is sweet. They are a good match and taste nice. One of us ordered a small vanilla coffee with a doughnut.
After dinner ,we took a walk through a nearby community and met a hybrid who is in his 60s. when we passed by ,he was engaged in removing weeds from the lawn. We greeted him and he stopped to talk about real estate in Canada, car expenses or local medical system and education.According to what he said, multiracial people are more likely to live in neighborhoods and they seldom talk to each other.
So much for today's sharing.
