Today is the first training day for teachers at new school. So curious about everything!
We were told some history of our school and then school mission,vission and values!
Mission: to create a noble man,for short,as Principal summarized. haha still remember :D
vission:
compassion, mercy, joy, unconditional giving.
international excellence, active leader, inter cultural understanding,etc
values :
慈悲喜舍，
resilience, sincerity,etc
All in all, 全人教育。Humanistic education plays a more important role than academic excellence, which is good!! That is education, to cultivate students on body, heart, and soul.
Then Principal asked us to introduce the person sitting next to you with two short sentences that includes interesting thing about that person haha...we would get to know more about each other in the days coming and in the Party in Principal's house haha :D
Luckily I have experienced passionate and professional young teachers working with me from now on!! Sincerely Hope that we can learn from each other and work happily together and can be good friends in the future!:D
Principal also toured us the whole school today! haha he has such a strong body,walking here and there within several HUGE buildings!! Then i remember he said in the staff Profile he was a PE teacher haha :D
The new school is really really huge, getting me almost lost haha! Fortunately I have a Mandarin teacher graduating from Tzu Chi university hahah and she could help me a lot on school culture:D and then i see we can really learn from each other :D IT IS VERY TRUE, BOSSES ARE REALLY BOSSES! They can see things at MACROSCOPIC VIEW ! They make right decisions for the whole party!:D That is really good! like what i said before, if boss asks us for opinions or ideas, we just give it, but decision lies in boss' hands :D they consider for the whole :D
Today is not tiring at all haha(at least as for me), getting us prepared with uniform(we even have fixed hair style haha i thought i can at least change my hairstyle from time to time since we wear same uniform every day haha), ID card, finger print to punch in, one laptop for each teacher(hahah i have 3 laptops plus this school one), etc
The lunch food is all vegetarian and more delicious than i cook haha :D and it requests each person to wash the utensils s/he uses for the lunch haha that is really good:D Man can learn doing house work lahaha
The most interesting things are the school has classes for 茶道tea ceremony，花道flower arrangement，书法calligraphy, books cafe, hahaha soooo much waiting for me to explore! I am gonna stick to study them all for A YEAR! HAHAHA finally i can learn them in a systematic way:D don't know whether there is 围棋 ，古筝 or not , i wanna revise 围棋 and play it with friends haha it is really a long time lah since finishing studying it at university :D
Hahah i am also happy that I can do many sports here haha ,huge beautiful indoor swimming pool and stadium are waiting for me haha :D they said it is Beijing Olympic standards:D cant wait lahahaha
Jeanette did more than one hour's sports with me today after school haha sooooo relaxing but i still have a lot of energy haha really wanting to stretch my arms :D we are planning to do more exercise at fixed days in a gym :D and planning traveling to EUROPE and New Zealand !! WHAT AN EXCITING DAY HAHA :D
A Chinese saying "不是一家人，不进一家门 if u dont belong to this family, you wont be allowed to enter this family". haha I just have a feeling "I enter the right family(like I married the right person haha)" Feeling grateful and thank you sooo much, CHENNIE :D
