A. Lichen
I saw emerald lichen thriving on a dead soup bowl of the old shabby paradise of joy,
I saw numb doddery monkeys juggling up and down the rockery for twenty years in the pompous mansion made of rustic brown,
I saw innocent angel-face chewing bunch of unsavory popcorn pipes which were disdained by the monkeys,
I saw eight-grade dropouts sticking their bottom into the bench and their mouth to each other, licking egg rolls of melting ice creams,
I saw DE Moses leaning on the table holding a goblet filled with poisonous syrup, through the shimmery light, reflecting the shadow of Satan,
I saw John Falstaff crawling on the beds, chasing after hundreds of bride’s maids , accepting applause and cheers from the mountain and the river,
I saw old Joey fell in the lake never came ashore again.
B. Siren
I heard Siren singing yet people heard songs.
They heard uncle Bill and auntie Margret found a fragmentary book covering Genesis and Maya civilization,
they heard Sphinx revealing the love affair between Apollo and Medusa,
they heard the death of the warrior , but sympathized Grendel and his mother,
they heard fire balls made of scornful language flying, they caught them, digested them, chucked them against pious believers of different idols,
they heard holy water could cure their dimmed eyes, but blinded them instead.
Siren was nowhere yet everywhere.
C. Sodium
You finally found your pool and jumped in it with tears of happiness,
you stood up and pointed the sword of Hogne up to sky, to nihility,
you grabbed your shovel and hammer and pickax to fix your neighbor’s fence,
you tore up the most beloved doll of your sister and you threw away your son’s baseball card,
you broke into jail decorated with red crosses,tried to fight demons in white uniforms,
you took over their glittery knives and stabbed at them, and you won.
You exploded like firework, splendid and beauteous,
I sighed away and watched you burn.
