Angela Merkel was born in Hamburg,West Germany,in 1954.She was one of the Germany leaders and a scientist.She studied physics at Leipzig University and earned a doctorate in quantum chemistry in Berlin.After her birth,her father,an official in the Lutheran Church, moved the family across the frontier a few weeks because of postwar division.As the oldest of three childre,she was raised in a town in the pine forest of Brandenburg,north of Berlin.Although upbrought in a Communist state,she still stick to her stand.In 2005,she launched her first campaign for Chancellor.When she was in the eighth grade,she was recruited for Russian Club and coached to compete in East Germany's Russian-language Olympiad.In 1970,her family has already been fragile.After 1989,Merkel got the chance to participate in democratic politics.
