A Complaining Letter to Superstore
To whom it may concern,
I write to you complaining about the salmon fish head your store sold on Sunday, Dec 10, 2017.
This salmon fish head was not as fresh as it should be. Actually it was so bad that it destroyed our meal, the soup I cooked with this fish head. Not only was our Sunday meal ruined but also our beautiful Sunday mood.
I bought this stuff from the seafood section in Real Canadian Superstore in Calgary Shawnessy. From its appearance it seemed normal.
Since Superstore has the reputation of President's Choice, I never doubt its credit. We buy almost everything from your store: food, cloth, lotion,sunglass, toilet paper and sometimes fish head. All the shopping experience was pretty good, except today, when we bought this fish head.
I bought the fish head before and all of them were fresh. Not the one we bought today, unfortunately.
As being Chinese born and grew up in China, we love fish head. We like soup made with fresh fish head. The fresher the fish head is, the better the soup tastes. The soup would be super delicious if the head is cut immediately from the living fish.
Since we live in Canada now, we cannot expect too much of a fish head. People would be unhappy if they expect too much. We are not stupid, so our expectation on a fish head is just normal, not too much but not too little.
I wish the time for a fish head away from its owner is not too long. One or two days are acceptable.
If it stays more than two days the smell would turn to ugly stinky.
The fish head smelled strange when I cleaned it at home.
I cooked it anyway though I disliked the smell. I am a good cook so I put a lot of seasonings into the soup and boiled it for a long time, longer than it needs, hopefully to wipe away the unpleasant smell.
When we ate it, my husband shook his head. My 11 years old son did not even taste it. He just put his nose closed to the bowl and walked away with a funny face. I knew he would not say anything bad since he is such a polite boy.
The smell was not so strong any more but still existed.
I ate the soup not because I liked it but because I was hungry.
When my stomach is half full, I would not eat it any more. No more and never, in the rest of my life.
My husband dumped it in the garbage.
I felt pity for the tofu cooked together with the fish head in the soup. What a waste, and my time and effort too!
Most important of all, this smelly fish head spoiled our mood on this nice Sunday, as I mentioned before.
Dear madam or sir, if you were me, I bet you would not like the taste too.
We buy daily supplies from your store every week, all year around, for almost 6 years. If you say we are the loyal customers we cannot agree more.
We are going to be loyal to your store in the future, not because of the loyalty we like to pursue as one of the good characters of human being, but because we desire nowhere to go otherwise. Since WalMart is a few more kilometers far away from our place, we don't want to waste gas.
So please, next time when we want to eat fish head, please don't let us see any STINKY fish head again in your fresh store.
If so, it would break our hearts for the fish head, as well as our love for your lovely Superstore.

我写信给您是想投诉2017年12月10日星期日那天在你们超市买的三文鱼鱼头。
这个三文鱼鱼头一点都不新鲜，害得我们不仅没吃好鱼汤，还毁坏了我们周日美好的心情。
我是在卡城Shawnessy的Superstore店买的这个鱼头，表面上根本看不出来它不新鲜。
Superstore在加拿大号称“总统的选择”， 我也从来没有怀疑过它的信誉。我们在这家超市买很多东西：食物、衣服、擦脸霜、太阳镜、卫生纸，有时买买鱼头，购物体验一直都很好，可今天，我们却买到变味的鱼头。
我以前买过的鱼头都不错。但今天的鱼头，很遗憾，不新鲜。
在中国长大的中国人都喜欢吃鱼头。我们用鱼头来煲汤。鱼头越新鲜，汤越好喝。如果鱼头刚从活鱼身上切下来，那么汤的味道会非常鲜美。
因为我们是在加拿大而不是在中国，所以，我们不能对一个鱼头有太大期望。期望越大，失望就越大，我们不蠢。我们对一个鱼头的期望不多也不少。
我觉得鱼头切下来的时间不要过长，一两天为好，时间长了就变味。当我在家清洗那个鱼头时，味道闻起来有点怪。
虽然我不喜欢这个怪味，我还是用它来做汤了。厨艺不错的我加了很多佐料来去除异味，也煮了好久。
当我们吃饭时，我先生不禁摇了摇头，我11岁的儿子一口都没动。他只是将鼻子凑在碗边闻了闻，就做个怪脸走开了。他是个有礼貌的孩子，一般不说难听的话。
鱼头的怪味没有原来那么强烈了，但还能闻到。
我实在饿了，所以我喝了鱼汤。
当肚子半饱时，我不想喝了，也喝不下去了，而且，我以后再也不想喝这样的鱼汤了。我先生将鱼汤倒到垃圾桶里。可惜了汤里一起煮好的豆腐，还有我花费的时间和精力。
最最可惜的是，怪味鱼头影响了我们周日的心情。
亲爱的先生或女士，如果你是我，我敢打赌你一定也不喜欢那个怪味。快六年了，我们每周都在你家超市买东西，可以说是你们的忠实顾客。以后，我们还会忠实于你们，但不是因为我们喜欢忠实，而是因为除了你家超市，我们不愿意去其他地方。沃尔玛离我家有点儿远，我们不想浪费汽油。
所以，下次，如果我们还想吃鱼头，拜托，千万别让我们再看见架子上摆放的臭鱼头。
再撞见，会让我们喜爱鱼头的那颗心破碎，也会毁掉我们对你们超市的满腔热情。
