Today is World Book and Copyright Day, or International Day of the Book. It is an important reminder about the importance of books, education and knowledge.
I am a bookworm. My problem is that there are always so many books that I want to read, I wish I could finish them all at once :P My Amazon wishlist has way too many books that I haven't yet got to.
My reading speed is not fast, so it usually takes me days to finish one book. Ever since I came to the US, the amount of books written in English soared. I definitely read faster than before but still pretty slow, so I've looked for other ways to get knowledge from English sources, such as audio books and podcasts.
Yanbin loves books. Of course, reading English is a big challenge to him. Currently, he's working on 100-day project of finishing Bill Clinton's biography "My Life", a 950-ish page book. He reads 10 pages every day, holding a highlighter to mark new words. Diligent, love it!
