There have been a lot of discussions about company's benefit package. As for whether companies should help their employees academically, ideas vary. Some think the companies should pay money for helping employees to get a university degree, while others disagree. Which opinion is more reasonable, however, can be subjective and relative. From my perspective, the companies should pay for their employees' education.
Companies will make more profits because employees learn a lot in university. People have long believed that investing on employees' education is just a waste of money and time. However, now many have realized that this opinion is incorrect. In fact, allowing employees to get university degree is necessary to help the business. When the employees graduate, they have learned more skills and will do their jobs better. Some projects they involved will appeal to big patronage. Therefore, the companies will make much more profits than before in a long time.
However, the benefits of paying for the tuition have never been more profits only. Employees are inspired to learn for free, which creates a excellent image of company. When their employees talk about themselves at university, they may tell the class who send them here. Students there will get more interested in the company. After they graduate, they are more likely to send their resumes to the company. So more top candidates will come for a position.
Admittedly, subsidize the employees' certificate will lead to some problems, like take much money and time. However, the problem doesn't matter. Money and time are just in short term, and there will be payback. Clearly, it has a great effect on companies in a long term.
To sum up, it is because that the companies can make more profits and can advertise themselves. Clearly, we cannot emphasize the significance of pay for the employees' degree more.
