My favorite English book is 《20,000 Leagues Under the Sea 》，that book I was reading on MinReading last year，The book’s author is Jules Verne。Jules Verne is 19th century French famous science fiction and adventure fiction writer, it is known as “the father of modern science fiction”.
I like this book becausei it tell us so many intersting things In this book,the seabed forest、the coral kingdom、the mystical buried and sunken wreck,The most important is tell us what is love. My favorite character, captain nemo, who is a man who lost his relatives because of the war. For that ,I feel very sad ,he was far away from the land because of hatred and build a unique submarine nautilus with his intelligence. he really became the master of the sea and lived on the sea floor for many years. In fact, I can feel his heart is very lonely, he has a deep-rooted distrust of human beings. However, he was so kind that he always distributed the treasure found at the bottom of the sea to the poor. He was also so kind to the crew that each crew ate the same food as him. In fact, although Captain Nemo is isolated from the world, he still has passion for life and sympathy for the weak.
The ultimate purpose of this book is to tell us that one should have the simplicity of Conseil, the courage of Nederland, the calmness of Captain Nemo, and the courage of Pierre Aronnax to try and explore the future without fear of hardships.
