On August 28th according to American time, Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook announced a piece of good news that his second daughter was born. He and his wife named their daughter August. His first daughter was born in 2015, whose name was Max. When Max was born, Zuckerberg and his wife established the Chan Zuckerberg Foundation, which aimed to eradicate diseases in the world. Zuckerberg and his wife wrote a letter to their little daughter, August and posted it in his Facebook homepage. When Max was born, they also wrote a letter, concerning about the belief that the development of science and technology could make their daughter grow up in a better world. Zuckerberg reviewed the subject of the letter and then said,"although headlines always tell us that there are many problems in the world, we still firmly believe that we will eventually settle those problems with good abilities."
Zuckerberg's letter to her little daughter focused on their expectations to their daughter's childhood. Zuckerberg suggested that parents should let children play crazily in the childhood rather than worry about their children’s losing at the starting line. Zuckerberg and his wife wrote, "the world is a serious place, and children should spend more time in getting in touch with nature and play merrily.. When you grow up you will become very busy, so I hope you can smell the flowers and collect all the leaves you like when you are a child. I want you to be immersed in Dr. Seuss's books (Dr. Seuss is a famous writer and educator of children's Literature) and begin your journey of creating your own story. I want you to play on the merry-go-round with your sister Max, until you are tired of the various colors of the horses. I hope you can run crazily at home, until you can't run. Of course, sleeping soundly is one of your tasks. I hope you feel our love in your sleep. Childhood is wonderful, and everyone has only once, so you should enjoy childhood, and do not worry about the future. We are here for you. Father and mother will strive to make the world be a better place, so that you and all the children in the world can have a good environment for growth."

“Childhood is magical,” Zuckerbergwrote. “You only get to be a child once, so don’t spend it worrying too muchabout the future. You’ve got us for that, and we’ll do everything we possiblycan to make sure the world is a better place for you and all children in yourgeneration.”
Zuckerberg also wrote a list of thingshe hopes August will have a chance to enjoy with Zuckerberg and Chan’s firstdaughter, Max.
