This barn-converted house had its basement above the ground, which is quite eye-catching. After minutes' contemplation, I decided that artitects' intention is to proect the house from moisture and coldness. I made my speculation of the humid climate from the background full of seeming evergreen plants. The "lift" of ground floor brought the marble stairs, linking the real green grass ground to the house's ground.
The flung-open doors may be the heritage of barns, convenient for crops transporting then. Now these doors allow us to give a glance at what the interior looks like - it seems very modern, with modernized furnitures and decorations, also cozy, with the warm yellow light illuminating the whole space, even the basement shed the conformtable light.
On each side, there is railing or fence. It may be for the sake of safety, but I do not mind using it as a ladder to climb up to the roof where splendid view will present at night. Counting stars and thinking about the universe can be an enjoyable recreation.
