In order to accumulate certain practical experience for a coming interview with the school side, I was instructed to pay a visit to a local preschool or kindergarten prior to it. Actually, the application process turned out to be not easy, but thanks to my cousin Qianqian's help, I managed to go to her workplace called 'Star Community' to learn about their daily work routine for three days in a row. Heartfelt gratitude to the support and caring from Director Zhang, Qianqian, Yici and Fanfan.
This preschool is featured 'Waldorf School', which is aimed at fostering intellectual, practical and artistic development of children. Compared to the current dominating cramming teaching method, Waldorf School does not push children that much but guides them to attend hands-on activities and learn how to get along with others as well as the environment surrounding them.
Based on the experience in the past few days, I got to know that every job is actually tiring and early childhood educator is an extremely tiring occupation, requiring an enormously large amount of patience, enthusiasm and love for children. These educators are superheroes and deserve every respect from their students as well as these students' families. Hence, I tell myself that the beginning of this type of work can be overwhelming, but as long as I choose it, I will give every effort to make it and get the fun out of this rewarding career.
