RESPOND 1: What does the section say?
After confirming that the cheese had disappeared, Haw realized that the surrounding environment had changed, so he wanted to make some changes, but Hem thought his own cheese had disappeared and he should be compensated. During the dispute between Hem and Haw, Sniff and Scurry have found Cheese Station N. At the same time, after Hem analyzing the pros and cons, Haw also had doubts about whether to make a change. Hem and Haw dug holes around Cheese Station C every day, hoping to find the missing cheese, but they still couldn't find it. Haw imagined finding the cheese again in his mind. Finally, he overcame his fear and walked into the maze again, but Hem remained where he was.
RESPOND 2: What does the section mean for you? Give a story from your life.
The most interesting part is Haw's mental journey. I think I am very similar to Haw in real life. When I realize that something has changed around me, I want to change, but I'm afraid of the cost of change. They don't want to stay in the present, and they don't want to take risks to make changes. Their own decisions will also be disturbed by the people around them, so they can't make real changes. We always listen to other people's opinions too much and lose our real interest.
After I graduated from high school, I applied for college with the advice of my family and teachers. I always listen to other people's plans for my life, instead of following my own inner thoughts. Although other people's opinions are important, sometimes we still have to listen to our own inner voice. We are always easily changed by others, but rarely can we really change others. No matter what decision you make, listen to your own ideas and pursue what you want is the most important thing.
